Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, & Two-Spirit Info Site
The development of this site was made possible through the collaboration of Richard Ramsay (Professor, Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary) and Pierre Tremblay (independent researcher, writer, and GLBT children and youth advocate) who both recognize that often needed social changes occur as the result of knowledge availability and dissemination. A site designed for everyone!
PFLAG Virtual Library
The Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) website has an extensive list of resources for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer individuals, their families, and friends. This site is routinely updated, providing one of the most recent and relevant resource lists available online.
Transgender and Intersex: American Library Association A Bibliography of Resources
This 16-page annotated bibliography was last updated in 2005. An excellent resource for T/I issues that are sometimes neglected in other compilations. The list is separated into categories of non-fiction, fiction/literature, articles/periodicals, videos, and books for children.
Princeton University Library LGBT Resources
For the more academically-inclined among us, the Princeton site is updated periodically. Its major strength is that it tracks other bibliographies as they are published, provides lists of encyclopedias, dictionaries, and book reviews, as well as indexes/abstracts of the most recently published journal articles. It is a treasure-trove of difficult to find or obscure publications for the researcher and/or clinician.
